It's applying the fundamentals perfectly, every time, at speed and under stress, while performing other tasks that makes one an accomplished shooter. There isn't really anything new in advanced training, it's just how to do the same fundamentals under increasingly more difficult circumstances.

Course description:

As a second-level pistol training course, this class will introduce the shooter to more advanced weapons manipulations, movements and gunfighting skills.

Pre-requisites:

CPL or other pistol marksmanship training. Tactical Pistol I or equivalent.

Topics:

-Strong side vs support hand weapon manipulations
-Moving to and use of cover
-Attacking multiple targets on the move
-Positions
-Ground fighting skills
-Situational awareness

Required equipment:

-Centerfire pistol (no .22 cal)
-Good quality holster and double magazine pouch (no shoulder or cross-draw holsters)
-Minimum of (3) magazines
-500 rounds ammunition
-Ear and eye protection
-Food and fluids to sustain you for an 8 hour class
-Hat and sunscreen
-Insect repellant

This class is held outdoors. Dress appropriately. Class will be cancelled only in the event of lightening.
